The images to your left show the difference between my natural color (left photo) and my almost-black shade of choice (right photo).
This year, however, I'm considering red. I dabbled in red in high school, but it was more of the crimson variety. I'm having a harder time finding those pictures, so you'll just have to use your imagination. ;)
Once in high school, I used a different hairdresser for 2.4 seconds and she gave me very orange-red hair, which I did not like. Part of the problem was the cut itself, but I don't want to go too orange-y this time to avoid hair color regrets.

So, I'm in this very delicately-balanced zone of not too red, not too orange. Here are my favorite looks I'll be taking to my stylist tomorrow; what do you guys think?
Do it! I dyed my hair red almost ten years ago and I've never gone back. I've lightened the shade over the years and now it's almost strawberry blonde. Well, a little darker than that. Regardless, I LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! I love that Emma from A Beautiful Mess is inspiration - she's an inspiration all around!
ReplyDeleteOh I love the red, I just get so so frustrated that it never seems to last very long ...
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see what you decide!

Those are gorgeous shades
ReplyDeleteLove the second one! Only downside on red is that it fades quickly :/
ReplyDeleteI am wanting to go more red again too...I'm naturally fairly reddish but I like the vivid dark red too.
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing- red seems fitting for the season. Although, my hair was a "do it yourself" and turned out, orange. I then redyed my hair a dark, dark brown and ended up with the color I wanted :) Dark brown with undertones of red.

ReplyDeleteAh, funny! I just went from blonde to blazing red on Thursday (photos up on the blog)... I'd intended to go a less intense route but changed course right at the last minute (and haven't regretted it for a second). Great minds think alike. :) xxx, j
ReplyDeletep.s. I like the very first photo for you; I think it'd go quite nicely with your complexion. Photos, please!
