I also mustn't downplay my excitement for delightful little cupcakes and some bubbly champagne at the store. So off to Orange County I went.
I was so excited to finally meet Kristina of Nook and Sea! Kristina and I have guest posted on each other's blogs, hosted giveaways together... I even featured her stunning wedding on the Anna Delores blog a few months ago! We finally got to hug it out.
I also met Lauren of Pink on the Cheek, Summer of Made by Munchie's Mama, Natalie of Take the Cannoli, Ashlee of Growing Up a Thomas, Maggie of Gussy Sews, Nichole of Young Mother Hubbard... lots of ladies were there! It was a great group.
1. Me + Kristina
2. I covet the glitter.
3. Alissa trying on a rockin' frock.
5. Great boots display!
Here are a couple of small-group shots we had to take several of, because Ms. Lauren (who TOTALLY rocks, by the way!) is a blinker. Her eyelids can sense when a camera's shutter is about to click and will thus close immediately, timed perfectly with the moment an image is captured.
Hilarity ensued.
1. "We have to take that again. Lauren blinked."
2. Another photo taken. "Lauren! You blinked again!"
3. "I know, let's all blink on purpose."
4. Okay, okay, for real this time... nailed it.

Beautiful ladies! Have you ever been to a blogger meet-up? Where was it? Who did you get to meet?
I dream of being able to meet the bloggers that I have grown relationships with! Lucky you!
ReplyDeleteHi Emily! I just stumbled upon your blog! It was during one of those down the rabbit hole blogger experiences I find myself on often! :) This meet-up looks like so much fun, I live in Orange and was curious if there are other ladies in the area! I will have to keep my eyes peeled for the next meet-up!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog!

DeleteI hope to see you at a meet up soon!
What a fun group! I read so many of these ladies blogs so it's fun to see you all together! Jealoussss wish I lived in SoCal! <3
ReplyDeletehehehehehe could it be that i was so anxious to see these hilarious pics that I made you post today? I think yes:)
ReplyDeleteI am really glad we got to meet! So I was looking at more wedding venues...what do you know about Villa Del Sol in Fullerton or The Center Club in Costa Mesa?
Haha not to be creepy Lauren, but I just saw your comment :)
DeleteI've been to a wedding (as a guest) at Villa del Sol, and it was really pretty! You have to use catering from one of the restaurants in the plaza (I think Brownstone or Cafe Hidalgo) though, and the food at this wedding was only okay. It's a great option if you're looking something a little more unique though! xoxo
LOVED meeting you Emily! I hope we get to meet up again soon! I will bring the scotch tape for Laurens eyelids. {wink} bwahhaaha
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I wish I would have know about this, but there will always be other meet ups :) They're actually opening a Madewell at the Grove, so I'm sure they will have more parties for bloggers. It's definitely a lot closer than OC! xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh how jealous I am of you. I want to go to a blogger met up. But it looks like you guys had tons of fun. =] Cute photos.
ReplyDeleteSo jealous, lady! Nothing like this ever goes down in Birmingham, and I've seen so much buzz about this event. Looks like a lot of fun to be had!
